Company profile
Air New Zealand operates a global network that provides air passenger and cargo services to, from and within New Zealand. Each year we fly more than 15 million passengers on our network, offering more than 3,400 flights a week to 49 domestic and international destinations.
Our driving purpose is to enrich our country by connecting New Zealanders to each other and New Zealand to the world. This is an idea that's been at the heart of our airline from the very beginning.
Embedded in our purpose, is a promise to our people, our customers and our community. That promise is Manaaki – taking care further than any other airline. This idea of care is encapsulated in our values and surrounds everything we do – from taking care of each other, our customers, our country and our communities.
Resilient core domestic business
Our domestic network is unmatched, flying passengers and cargo between 20 destinations across the country. As an airline we're committed to keeping New Zealanders and New Zealand, connected. That commitment is reflected by our investment in modern, larger aircraft and upgraded domestic and regional lounges.
Our strong corporate brand and renowned Kiwi service culture continues to drive loyalty from our customers and deep employee engagement.
Optimised international network with deep alliance partnerships
Our international strategy focusses on the Pacific Rim, and we offer direct flights to all of New Zealand's major Pacific Rim partners. Our revenue-sharing alliances expand our coverage even further and allow seamless travel connections beyond our direct network. Our key alliance relationships include partners across the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.
Airpoints™ loyalty programme
Airpoints™ is viewed as the most valuable loyalty programme in New Zealand and provides members with an easy and transparent currency - Airpoints Dollars™. Members earn points by travelling with us and spending at our retail partners. Status points are also available when flying with us, unlocking VIP benefits in the air and on the ground. Modern fuel-efficient fleet
Our simplified and modern fleet has an average seat weighted age of 7.9 years, making it one of the youngest fleets in the world. The fleet consists of modern fuel-efficient aircraft, across fewer aircraft types, which provides the airline with a competitive cost structure and greater operational efficiencies.
Investment-grade financial strength
In good times and bad, we maintain a disciplined approach to capital allocation. This discipline enables us to balance capital allocation decisions between re-investment in the business, our sustainability ambitions and returns to shareholders over the long-term.
We have a credit rating of Baa1 from Moody's, with a stable outlook, making us one of the top investment-grade rated airlines in the world.
